Divine Nails is a great nail salon in the heart of Slidell. They can do anything from pedicures, manicures, gel, dip, and creative nail designs. The owners are so sweet and always helpful.

I've been coming here for about a year after receiving a recommendation. Both of my German shepherds are handled professionally and look fantastic after every visit! The location itself is perfect being in the middle of Slidell and they always have the staff to accommodate.

Olde Towne is in the heart of Slidell. It was first built in the 1800s. There are various food spots, hair salons, and the Slidell Museum. Must visit!

Whether you are looking for anything from home decor to gifts for the family, Fremaux Town Center has it all. Books a Million is the bookstore to go to for anything you are looking for, from self-help books to magazines. After all that shopping, there are various places to eat like Chipotle, Red Robin, Five Guys, and more.

Old Town has been on the up and up for some time now. With the introduction of restaurants, hatchet throwing, and the resurrection of local bars, there is plenty to do on any given day. Personally, I've been a fan of Tacos and Beer, The Tavern, Electric Avenue, and The Brass Monkey. Everything is within walking distance, and an evening can be spent at one location or adventuring all the local venues!

Starting with the office staff, the Pinewood Golf Course and Country Club runs a good show. As a member or a non-member, it makes little difference. Their newsletter is highly recommended as they publish all the different events they have scheduled well in advance. The course itself is narrow and has some trees, but it's smack in the middle of Slidell. The club is easy to get to and easy to schedule a tee-time. All the neighbors that I've shanked a ball into or near their yards have greeted me kindly, while I pray I'm inbounds near the OB line. I'm sure I'll see some of you out there in the near future!

I'll be speaking from a golf standpoint and have to let everyone know this course can't be missed. Hopefully, you brought double the amount of balls because there's water everywhere. This course runs along the waterways that help design this neighborhood. A quick warning that you may occasionally be thrown off by the aroma of a neighbor's crawfish boil. Overall the view is fantastic, the driving range is plenty capable, and the greens are usually in great shape (mostly fast). Shoot them well!

Fremaux Town Center features incredible shopping and dining. There's something for everyone! Located conveniently off I-10, it's easy to get to Fremaux from any direction.

The first phase of the Fremaux shopping area was built in 2014, and the tenant list continues to grow! Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates partnered up to develop this shopping area, which offers 80 acres worth of dining, shopping, entertainment, and other types of businesses to its patrons.

Shopping options are abundant, including clothing stores, home decor stores, electronic and entertainment stores, shoe stores, and more. Some of the stores at Fremaux include Dillard's, Best Buy, Kirkland's, Pier 1, Kohl's, Charlotte Russe, LOFT, PetSmart, Journey's, Verizon Wireless, Dressbarn, Books a Million, Carter's, Buckle, and plenty more!

If you're hungry, you can grab a bite at any of the great restaurants! BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, Felipe's Taqueria, Panera Bread, Smoothie King, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Which Wich, Cheddars, and Longhorn Steakhouse are just some of the great food options you'll find. You can also visit Starbuck's for coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches, or other treats.

There are plenty of places to treat and pamper yourself, as well. You can receive hair or nail services at Bellagio, Allure, Aveda, or Massage Envy, just to name a few. Need tires or other maintenance for your car? Drop it off at Goodyear while you shop!

Fremaux Town Center has something for every style and every taste. You can spend hours passing time and having fun, or run over for a quick shopping trip!

Slidell is one of those communities that has a little something for everyone - whether you love fishing or boating, or want a nice place near, but outside of New Orleans to raise your family, Slidell's got it! Their local website has even come up with a top ten list of reasons why Slidell could be just right for you!

Textron Systems in Slidell is responsible for building armored vehicles for military operations, along with their Shipyard Operations that build amphibious craft located just minutes away on Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans. The Textron Systems Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving Center, Vehicle Outfitting/Final Assembly Plant and their headquarters are all located in Slidell. We are appreciative of the employment opportunities Textron Systems offers to our area.

Navigable Bayou Liberty offers beautiful views of one of Slidell's most valued treasures. Nature enthusiasts flock to the serene areas to enjoy boating or fishing. The bayou empties into Lake Pontchartrain which is a sportsman's paradise.
