    My Leadership Tangipahoa class just took a field trip to this "hidden treasure" today. "Rise Escape Rooms opened in December of 2015 and has been growing ever since.

    They have a fantastic, theatrical, and scary haunted house during Halloween season, and for the rest of the year, they create award-winning "Escape" rooms. You are never truly locked in but you must solve clues to discover the way out and beat the room. They come up with their own ideas for the concepts and clues for the rooms, and they often sell their ideas to other companies. They even made it into the top 10 escape rooms Readers Choice Travel Awards. We all had an absolute blast!

    Tickfaw is my hometown. I went to Nesom Elementary and attended church at Our Lady of Pompeii. The Village of Tickfaw was incorporated in 1957 and remains a quaint little village; a great place to raise your family. Coach KIm Mulkey is a true hometown hero, having won High School State Championship's and NCAA National Championship's as both a player and a coach. She is currently the coach of the Baylor Bears.
