Duson, a town in Acadia Parish and part of Lafayette Parish is country living at it's finest. It was originally named after Curly Duson, the land developer and incorporated in 1909. Because of it's association with the railroads as a stop, it was known as Duson Station in the late 1880's. It's main agriculture in town was cotton and three cotton gins were in operation back then.
