    First built in 1852, the single story Creole cottage known as Epps House once sat on Bayou Boeuf near Holmesville, Avoyelles Parish. After being moved a time or two, it now sits on LSUA's campus as of 1999. Named for the Edwin Epp's family, Epps House actually tells Solomon Northup's story of slavery and freedom.
